a 6 cfm is good for 36 tons. More importantly is your hose size and if your pulling through a schrader valve. A 1/4 hose will yield about .8 CFM. Thats right 8 TENTHS of a CFM! Do a couple searches here on proper evacuation techniques and micron gauges.. I use a JB Platinum 7cfm. I highly recommend JB vacuum pumps. You get what you pay for.
