Answer: Generally, the bigger the house the bigger the heat pump. Depending on heat loss, property age, and room types, a 100 sq m house may need a 4kW ground source heat pump or a 5kW air source heat pump. This doubles to 8kW or 10kW respectively for 200 sq m houses. However, these figures must be taken with a pinch of salt.
