Shut off power at breaker and tighten all wire connections. Check timer clock or switch for burnt terminals or wires. Check capacitor for …capacitance or resistance with an Ohm meter. If breaker still trips, replace the breaker; they go bad eventually. If your Hayward pump runs for only 5 seconds and shuts off, check the incoming voltage.
