Thermistors and RTDs are devices used to measure temperature in modern Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems. The electrical resistance of both devices is determined by their temperature. Measuring each device’s resistance allows one to determine the ambient temperature of either sensor.
