Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs), and sulfur hexafluoride (SF 6) are sometimes called high-GWP gases because, for a given amount of mass, they trap substantially more heat than CO 2.
