Unico expressed support for a separate heat pump test standard for cold-weather heat pumps, indicating that such a test standard would require testing at 2 °F. (CAC TP: Unico, No. 63 at p. 13) UTC/Carrier commented that the test point at 2 °F outdoor temperature is challenging for most test facilities (if it is possible at all).
