Cheaper to install the electric furnace with no AC but more on your electric bill for heat. A heat pump will use less electricity plus you will have AC if the temperatures get too high. A heat pump also has electric heat strips for backup heat but if you go high SEER/HSPF then you will save even more provided it is installed properly.
