Adjust vents to get the most out of your air conditioning. Locate the vent in an unoccupied room. Close the vent to direct the airflow into another room to maximize the air conditioning in the occupied room. If operated by a lever, move the lever on the side of the vent. If operated by a knob, turn the knob on the side of the vent.
