The Whirlpool washer F8E3 error code means that the ACU (main control board) has detected an overflow condition which means the washer has filled too long without the water level pressure sensor trip being detected so as a precaution to prevent flooding the control has shut down the cycle and drained the water from the tub and reported the F8E3 error.
